Course Overview:

This course is designed to equip Scrum Masters with the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively facilitate Agile teams and support their organizations in adopting and sustaining Scrum principles and practices. The course covers the fundamental concepts, roles, and practices of Scrum, as well as strategies for implementing and refining Scrum in various contexts.

Course Learning Objectives (CLOs):

Understand the Scrum Framework: The course will cover the three roles, three ceremonies, and three artifacts of Scrum, as well as the principles and values that underlie the framework.
Facilitate Agile Teams: Participants will learn how to facilitate Agile teams, including how to lead meetings, manage conflicts, and build trust.
Coach Agile Teams: The course will cover strategies for coaching Agile teams, including how to identify and overcome obstacles, and how to foster collaboration and continuous improvement.

Implement Scrum in Organizations: Participants will learn how to implement Scrum in their organizations, including how to overcome common obstacles, and how to measure success.
Refine Scrum Processes: The course will cover strategies for refining Scrum processes, including how to identify and address inefficiencies, and how to improve team performance.

Course Learning Outcomes (SLOs):

Upon completing this course, participants will be able to:
Define the roles and responsibilities of the Scrum Master, Product Owner, and Development Team.
Explain the principles and values of Scrum.
Facilitate a successful Daily Scrum meeting.
Identify and address impediments that may be blocking the team's progress.
Develop a plan for implementing Scrum in their organization.
Refine Scrum processes to improve team performance. Identify areas for improvement in their current workflow and develop a plan to address them.
Develop effective communication strategies with stakeholders.
Create a culture of continuous improvement within their team.
Measure the success of their team's Agile implementation. By the end of this course, participants will have a solid understanding of the Scrum framework and the skills necessary to effectively facilitate Agile teams and support their organizations in adopting and sustaining Scrum principles and practices.

Knowledge and Skills:
Basic understanding of Agile principles and values:
Familiarity with the Agile manifesto and the core values of Scrum.
Scrum framework knowledge: Understanding of the Scrum framework, including roles, ceremonies, and artifacts (Product Backlog, Sprint Backlog, Sprint Review, Sprint Retrospective).
Communication and facilitation skills: Ability to facilitate meetings, communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders, and manage conflicts.
Problem-solving and analytical skills: Ability to analyze problems, identify root causes, and propose solutions.
Coaching and mentoring skills: Ability to coach and mentor team members, providing guidance and support in adopting Scrum practices.
Domain knowledge: Familiarity with the industry or domain in which the team operates.

Experience: Prior experience in Scrum or Agile teams: Experience working in a Scrum or Agile team as a team member or in a similar role.

Education:
Formal education in project management or related field: Bachelor's degree in project management, business administration, computer science, or a related field.
Certifications: Certification in Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Agile Practitioner (CAPM), or other relevant certifications.

Soft Skills:
Interpersonal skills: Ability to build strong relationships with team members, stakeholders, and other Scrum Masters
. Time management skills: Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
